The first sentence of Driven, got to me, so many times I think the same thing! Real world, real people. And have re-read the driven series at least for times. And after reading slow burn going to read them all again 1 after the other, love reading series of books like that binge reading.

Love your opening line of Fueled. So evocative and visceral! And one of my recent favorites was from Free me from Laurelin Paige. "I wasn't supposed to be working the night I met J.C." Short and succinct, yet sucked me right in!
